38.2 Treatment of postpolypectomy bleeding with endoclips

A 55-year-old male is found to have a 1-cm semipedunculated polyp at the splenic flexure on screening colonoscopy. Although the intent is to use electrocautery, the polyp is inadvertently removed with a cold snare and slow but steady bleeding ensues. An endoclip is placed at the base of the polypectomy site. Bleeding appears to have stopped. A second clip is placed above the first clip at a slightly more oblique angle.
