The small friable lesion is less than 1.0 cm. It is injected and lifted with dilute epinephrine (1 : 200 000). A crescent-shaped snare is placed inside the rim of an endoscopic mucosal resection cap, the lesion is sucked into the cap, the snare is closed, and the entrapped tissue is pushed out of the cap, and resected with electrocautery. The removed tissue is sucked into the cap and retrieved for pathology evaluation.
