23.6 Endoscopic view of a submucosal lesion in the antrum causing mild distortion but not obstruction of the antrum and pylorus

Endoscopic ultrasound examination of the lesion described in Video clip 22. The radial echoendoscopic examination demonstrates a hypoechoic, somewhat heterogeneous mass lesion with well-defined borders measuring 36 mm × 38 mm. The exam is done in a back-and-forth motion over the lesion and demonstrates that the layer of origin of this lesion is the muscularis propria. Endoscopic ultrasound examination is most consistent with a GIST. This was confirmed on fine needle aspiration of this lesion.
